Mitchell was driving at speeds of 100 mph. Mitchel ran off the road near highway 13 and Buckhorn Road where Officer Schlabach told Mitchel' to get on the the ground. Mitchell advanced the officer in an aggressive manner and was subsequently shot and killed.
