FBI agents and members of the Criminal Apprehension Team task force tracked violent fugitive Javier Reyes to a home and moved in to make an arrest. He ran through the neighborhood before going down in a shootout with authorities. Reyes died soon after at University Medical Center. Reyes had been wanted in a pair of violent attacks on his ex-girlfriend. An FBI agent was hit in his bullet-proof vest with shrapnel during the gunfight but was not seriously hurt.
