Omaha Police Department responded to a 911 domestic disturbance call around 2am which indicated that the suspect had a shotgun. Suspect's girlfriend left the house when police arrived but two children, suspects son and daughter were still inside. Daughter later was freed, but suspect allegedly used 3-year-old son as a shield multiple times when pointing shotgun at officers. Suspect threatened officers and made suicidal statements. Around 6:30am suspect put his son back in the house and came back out with shotgun and rifle, and was shot multiple times by four officers. Suspect had criminal history and mental issues. One gun was later found to be a pellet gun, and the other was unloaded.
