About 5 a.m. in the parking lot of a condominium complex, officers responded to a call of shots fired and were approached by an off-duty Pentagon Force Protection Agency police officer who said he thought a car was being burglarized. He engaged the men who failed to follow his direction. Dominique Williams, 32, and James Lionel Johnson, 38, attempted to flee in a vehicle from the man with a gun, at which time David Hall Dixon shot and killed the men. Dixon was charged with second-degree murder.
