Officers who were part of a gang task force where on patrol around 1 p.m. when they came across an allegedly stolen car in the parking lot of a business. As officers approached the car, the two people inside ran from it - one into the woods behind the business, the other away from it. Officers followed the first person into the woods and searched. After about an hour, a dog picked up a scent and led officers to a man who was holding something. The man reportedly shot at officers, who shot and killed the man and the dog.
