Deputies went to perform a welfare check on a woman and found she had been shot and killed. Her son, Ruffin, was suspected of killing her. Police later received a call from Ruffin's girlfriend stating he had pointed a gun at her. Police found Ruffin's vehicle and saw him run from the area. Police began searching the area and eventually found Ruffin. Police shot Ruffin after he allegedly failed to respond to officers' orders.
