Sanders County law enforcement were called to the Naughty Pine Saloon for a man allegedly armed with a handgun and assault rifle who was barricaded inside. Negotiations began with the man, but he allegedly refused to cooperate and SWAT teams came to the scene. Eventually the man exited the saloon and SWAT members attempted to use less lethal rounds to stop hiim. He allegedly began firing at pursuing officers, who returned fire and fatally wounded the man.
