Police said they heard about a man who robbed another person at a bus stop in the area. The man got on a KCATA bus. The driver of the bus noticed the robbery suspect in the vehicle and attempted to drive at a slow speed to allow police time to get to the bus. A Kansas City Police Department officer attempted to get on the bus from the back side entrance, and the man shot the officer. The man allegedly turned and shot the bus driver before getting off the bus, where police shot and killed him.
