About 10:23 a.m., officers were reportedly conducting surveillance on some suspected robbers when the three men pulled up in a vehicle. Police said two of them went inside a hotel, but one stayed back. When they returned, officers tried to arrest them. Two of the men ran away, and the other allegedly reached for a pistol in his waistband, and an officer shot and killed him.
