The man fled a traffic stop, a state police officer later caught up to the vehicle and gave chase as the man refused to stop. The officers deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle. Once the vehicle stopped, the officers gave the driver commands to exit the vehicle and a Laguna Police Officer fired a bean bag round into the window of the vehicle. Police allege the man fired a round through the windshield at officers and a NM State Police Officer fired back.
