Shayne Sutherland reportedly called 911 from an AM/PM store's phone and claimed to be an employee who was just robbed. Police called the store back and talked to an employee, who said Sutherland was harassing customers and threatening the employee. Officers arrived around 7:10 p.m. and ordered Sutherland to walk outside and sit down. He reportedly admitted to recent drug use. He attempted to flee, but officers tackled and restrained him, and he died.
