In a press release, police said they responded to a report of an African American man in his 30s, who was armed with a handgun. The officers were called around 3 a.m. Six officers responded and initially contacted a man that was not related to the call. They then found a man in a vehicle behind police units who reportedly got out of the vehicle with a handgun. After the man got out of the vehicle, several officers shot and killed him.
