Police were called around 7 p.m. after a woman called 911 to report a man with a gun had arrived at her home. The man fired shots and a woman was found dead at the scene. Upon arrival, Jones said the man shot at officers and attempted to run. A deputy was shot and wounded. Police and sheriff's deputies continued to pursue the man after the deputy was shot, and police shot and killed him.
