A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Ice for sexual assault. Arkansas State Police officers recognized the vehicle Ice was reported to drive and went to inspect the car. Police ordered the two people, including Ice, out of the vehicle and Ice allegedly aimed a gun at one of the officers and began shooting, wounding one officer. Ice left the scene in the vehicle. Another officer saw Ice leaving the scene and chased him until his car got stuck in a snowbank. The officer on the chase found Ice injured from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound but unconfirmed.
