Quinto's sister called the police as he was acting erratically. When police arrived, Quinto's mother was seated on the floor embracing him. Police then flipped Quinto over and pinned him on his stomach. One officer held his legs down and another knelt on his neck. Quinto's family state the officer knelt on his neck for five minutes. Quinto lost consciousness, and police attempted to revive him on scene. Quinto passed at a hospital three days later.
