At 4:41 p.m., a woman called 911 to say her grandson came into her room and threatened her, police said. Six minutes later, the man's mother called 911 to say he her son was being violent and threatened her with a metal pole. The woman told the dispatcher her son has "mental health problems." At 4:52 p.m., officers arrived at the home. At 4:53 p.m., dispatchers received a call that reported that a man was banging on his front door. The man was reportedly wearing a red bandana over his head and face and was holding a metal crowbar. Police found the man and ordered the man to drop the crowbar. He reportedly ignored the officers and ran at them with the crowbar in hand. One officer fired bean bags at the man, who continued to run toward the officers who shot and killed him.
