Davis, an Army veteran with PTSD, had a drunken argument with his son while parked in Oconee Springs Road. An associate of his called deputies shortly before midnight. They separated Davis and his son. Davis went to his vehicle for a knife, and threw it at a deputy. He returned to his vehicle for another knife and ran at deputies with it. Deputy Justin Brock fatally shot him.
