Police responded around 9 p.m.to a report of shots fired. Officers learned that a man was randomly firing a weapon, police said. When officers arrived, Miguel Nevarez barricaded himself in a vehicle.During the standoff, Nevarez got out of the vehicle, allegedly armed with a semiautomatic pistol and pointed it at police, who shot and killed him.
