Selmer and another man, David Leatherman, led police on a chase that began in Pennsylvania before entering Frederick County, where they crashed. Leatherman was wanted for attempted murder. After crashing, they fled on foot, and Leatherman was eventually caught and taken into custody. Selmer continued running to a gas station, where deputies allege he took a "shooting stance."
