The Washington County sheriff's office received a call just after midnight about a man who had been making suicidal comments, police said. Deputies found him, and he was armed with a handgun. Officers spoke with the man and at one point used less-lethal bean bag rounds to try to incapacitate the man. Later, a deputy shot and killed him.
