Wade Russell Meisberger was the passenger inside the semi who took over the vehicle while the driver was out of the cab during a traffic stop conducted by U.S. deputy marshals. The suspect was initially wanted for a homicide probation violation. Police chased him across several counties, and the semi's trailer came off during the chase. During a standoff, in which Meisberger allegedly fired at officers, he was shot and killed.
