Knight was shot after producing a toy gun when confronted by officers during a street patrol, according to authorities. The officers recognized Knight and approached becuase of an outstanding arrest warrant, an investigation found. Knight's fiancee said he was suicidal and had been diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
