Officers responded to a home to serve a domestic violence petition on 80-year-old Robert Matz. Police said Matz was disrespectful with the officer and threatened to kill him. The officer reportedly asked Matz if there were any guns in the home, and Matz said there weren't. Police said Matz took out a knife during the conversation and threatened to cut the officers. Matz allegedly got a gun and pointed it at the officers who shot and killed him.
