Police were called to a "check a subject" call outside the Planet Fitness at 5 p.m. The officers arrived and made contact with the person who fit the caller's description. During the course of the check, Dana Sherrod Fletcher reportedly did not comply with police orders, and he was shot and killed. The man's wife and 8-year-old daughter were apparently removed from the vehicle before he was killed.
