President Donald Trump admitted tonight via Twitter that he is a sick person. He also admits that First Lady Melania Trump also tested positive for COVID-19. This announcement came shortly after he admitted that Hope Hicks, one of his closest advisors, had tested positive for the virus. We are not sure just how close Mr. Trump is with the much younger Ms. Hicks. We do know that Hicks was on Air Force One with Trump yesterday along with Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and Trump's other "adult" children.
Donald Trump's admission is an about face from his prior position that "Kung Flu Virus" was a hoax created by the Chinese government and spread around America by liberals. Trump has repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the virus that has killed over 200,000 Americans. Reports indicate that Trump himself seemed worried when he gave statements to the media in the hours leading up to his admission. Reports have also indicated that Hope Hicks is already symptomatic.
We are not sure if former Vice President Joe Biden is in quarantine or not. Biden was in close proximity with Trump during a debate on Tuesday, but the media is making it sound like the earliest known contact between Trump and an infected person was flying on Air Force One with Hope Hicks the day after the debate. The incubation period for COVID-19 is 14 days which means that if the President or anyone close to him has been close with Hope Hicks at any time in the past 12 days that he could have contracted it himself before the debate which means that he could have given it to Joe Biden. The virus is typically spread through spitting and through the air from people doing stuff like coughing or yelling loudly. Tuesday's debate was nothing but yelling and there is a good chance if Trump had it then that Biden was exposed.
How close are President Trump and Hope Hicks? We do not know much about Hicks or her relationship with the President, but it is well known that he likes younger women. She is reportedly one of his favorite advisors, but how favorite is she? Does she have a COVID stained pants suit in her closet just like Monica Lewinsky? Obviously Trump is still very close with his wife, close enough to give her the virus too. How many other women has the President been close with over the past 14 days? How many men has Hicks been close with over the past 14 days? The answers to those questions are now a matter of national security.
