About 3 p.m., deputies and Lagrange police officers responded to a call about a woman shot at a home. When they arrived, officers found 68-year-old Sally Harrison dead outside the house. Her husband reported Harrison was outside with her brother, Sam Burt, when the husband heard three shots and saw Burt running into the woods with his three dogs. Officers found Burt on a boat dock and report he was holding a handgun and refused to comply with orders to drop it. Burt allegedly raised his handgun toward police, who shot and killed him.
