Police were called to North Federal Highway and Sheridan Street around 8:30 a.m., after a 911 call reported a man driving recklessly, police said. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, which fled south. After crossing the city limits, the driver attempted to hit officers with his car before continuing to drive away. Officers confronted the driver around NE 6th Street and shot and killed the man.
