Junior Hernandez lived with his grandmother, but he was being evicted. Deputies were called just before 5 p.m. for a call about a family disturbance. Family members had called police and said Hernandez may have been under the influence of drugs. Hernandez locked himself in the back bedroom of the home and then climbed out of the window. He fired two rounds from an airsoft gun at the deputies. Fearing for their lives and safety, the deputies shot and killed him.
