Police said Cano ran at officers who were responding to a complaint that he was standing in the middle of a road while cars swerved to avoid him. A struggle ensued and Cano was shot with a bean-bag round, but was then able to knock one officer to the ground, take control of the bean-bag gun and fire a round. Cano was shocked with a Taser but could still not be restrained, according to authorities, leading an officer to shoot him.
