Officers were approached Money and a man, William Spaits, in the parking lot of a Target to serve outstanding warrants when the two ran to their car and began shooting at the officers, police said. The officers returned fire, killing both Spaits and Money, according to authorities. The officers sustained non-life threatening wounds.
