Former Jackson Police Officer Justin Roberts was fired for kneeing a handcuffed suspect. The incident was caught on tape. The Jackson Police Department eventually settled with the victim, LaDarius Brown, for an undisclosed amount. Officer Roberts was also convicted of simple assault.
Brown's lawyer credits the video with making his case.
