Nicolas Russell was suspended without pay by the Lincoln Police Department after a woman obtained a protective order against. Order was issued after the woman said that Russell had threatened to bash her face in, stalked her phone log, and used the police database to find out where she lived. The incident is being criminally investigated by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office and the Lincoln Police are investigating it internally.
Officer Russell has had legal problems in the past. He is currently participating in a diversion program for an unrelated domestic violence case.
