A Nebraska State Trooper identified the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled the scene. As the trooper chased the vehicle, Christian Alexander allegedly began firing at the trooper from within the car. The trooper performed a stop maneuver to disable the vehicle and reportedly exchanged gunfire with Alexander and Hailey Stainbrook. Stainbrook passed, and Alexander is in critical condition.
