Newnan Police officer Richard Gosch was fired and arrested last week after crashing his patrol car on his way to work. He is now charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain a lane. According to media reports, Gosch was found on the side of Georgia Highway 54 and agreed to a breathalyzer before his arrest. The press is calling this a "crash" but the descriptions sound more like he just drove off the road. Whatever it did was enough for the a Georgia State Trooper to take notice and appropriate action.
According to public records, Richard Horde Gosch is a 36 year old resident of Newnan, Georgia. He is a registered Republican.
