Deputy Kristofor O'Rourke of the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office in upstate New York was arrested recently on sexual assault charges for coercing an arrestee into giving him a blow job in exchange for a "courtesy ride" home from jail under threat of being taken back to jail. This past week Livingston County DA Greg McCaffrey announced the charges publicly. O'Rourke is currently charged with a third degree criminal sex act and official misconduct because arrestees cannot legally consent to sexual contact with police officers while in custody and even if they could O'Rourke threatened to take the victim back to jail if she didn't suck his dick which constitutes coercion.
O'Rourke has already been fired by the TCSO for a separate incident which took place on November 21st. In that incident O'Rourke is accused of making an "inappropriate verbal comment of a sexual nature." Following his termination for cause the TCSO alerted the state's Division of Criminal Justice Services in an effort to get his police certification revoked. We are not sure if O'Rourke was working for the TCSO at the time of the alleged blow job but we do know that he was employed as a Geneseo police officer at the time. Getting O'Rourke's certification revoked is important because without that it is too likely that he will just find a new job with a different department. We call cops like that "Gypsy Cops" because they bounce from city to city getting into trouble and escaping before their permanent record can be changed in ways that might stop other department from hiring them.
