Downey police officers responded to a report of a person armed with a knife and a gun who was threatening to kill family members. When officers arrived, the suspect fled on a motorcycle, initiating a chase. The fleeing man escaped. An unmarked police vehicle watched his home on Windrush Drive and saw him walk toward the home. When officers approached the man, he said he was armed with a gun. When he reached for it, he was shot and killed.
