Officer Jon Michael Crowder of the North Little Rock Police Departmant in Arkansas was arrested for violently breaking the arm of a man he was arrested. It appears that Officer Crowder was mad about comments that his victim had made while being detained. Unfortunately Crowder is only being charged with misdemeanor battery because police officers and the district attorneys that represent them go easy on their own people.
Had Crowder not been caught on tape he probably would have accused his victim of assaulting him and fighting ferociously the entire time. Then it would have just been the word of a crooked cop versus someone that is not employed by a law enforcement agency. That never would see the light of day in a courtroom unless the victim filed a lawsuit.
