State of Minnesota v. Derek Chauvin:

Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin choked the life out of George Floyd on camera in broad daylight. The whole world has been watching this footage where an unarmed black man is on the ground saying he can't breathe. Bystanders are filming and yelling at the cops telling them to stop choking Gerorge Floyd. Derek Michael Cauvin appears to enjoy being on top of George Floyd with his knee on his neck. The whole thing was filmed. Derek Chauvin just keeps choking him until he stops moving and after that. We have never seen a more callous disregard for human life caught on tape.

There are currently four murderers without badges walking the streets. Their presence constitutes a clear and present danger to the public. They deserve to be in jail all alone in protective custody because the second any solid dude gets a shot at them they are done.

If you have not seen this video please watch it. Then hopefully you will wake up and finally understand what pigs are really like. They are not human. They are sick sadistic sociopaths that live to torture, control, and kill. They are the lowest form of life on Earth. If any harm befalls them you should feel more sympathy for the last ant you stepped on.

The FBI is investigating this. Hopefully they will file federal civil rights and murder charges. When these guys go to federal prison they will be marked. Everywhere they go the inmates will know who they are. They will spend the rest of their lives alone in protective custody or they will brutally removed from this Earth.

Normally we block home addresses of officers from being visible on this site, but today we are making an exception. These addresses were pulled from public records. We are not sure which is his primary residence, so he could be at any one of these locations.

According to this https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2020/05/26/what-we-know-so-far-about-the-4-officers-fired-after-george-floyds-death/ people are already protesting outside what they believe to be Chauvin's house, but it seems they are having the same problems we are figuring out where he is. We are not sure which of these addresses the protest was at.

One of the other officers involved was Tou Thao. He was the one trying to keep concerned citizens from filming Derek Chauvin. They were also trying to get him to stop choking George Floyd. Tou Thao had a civic duty to intervene and stop Derek Chauvin from murdering George Floyd, but he willfully chose to assist Chauvin instead.

Who is Tou Thao? We are currently trying to figure out which Tou Thao this guy is. There are a few matches for that name in the Minneapolis area.

The FBI investigation should show that at a minimum this brutal murder violated 18 U.S.C. 242. You can learn more about section 242 at https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/242 here is a snippet:

"Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death."

According to media reports this is not the first time Chauven killed someone https://www.startribune.com/what-we-know-about-derek-chauvin-and-tou-thao-two-of-the-officers-caught-on-tape-in-the-death-of-george-floyd/570777632/?refresh=true

UPDATE: The state has now charged Derek Chauvin with Third Degree Murder. The problem with this is that it is a lesser degree of the First Degree Murder charge he should be facing. They also have not charged the other officers. You can view the complaint at https://copblaster.com/uploads/files/minnesota-v-derek-chauvin.pdf

The most serious charge against Chauvin reads:

COUNT I

Charge: Murder - 3rd Degree - Perpetrating Eminently Dangerous Act and Evincing Depraved Mind

Minnesota Statute: with reference to: 609.195(a)

Maximum Sentence: 25 YEARS

Offense Level: Felony

Offense Date (on or about): 05/25/2020

Control 20200338

Charge Description: That on or about May 25, 2020, in Hennepin County, Minnesota, Derek Michael

Chauvin caused the death of George Floyd by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and

evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life.

---End of Charge---

What is wrong with this? First, Chauvin is only facing 25 years in prison when he should be facing life in prison. Second, it only accuses him of "perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life." When he should be charged with intentionally depriving George Floyd of his life. This language opens up the possibility to say that although he intentionally did something that was dangerous with a depraved mind that he did not intent to kill George Floyd. Which if course makes no sense when he kept his knee on him for over two minutes after he was not responsive.

Murder in the First Degree includes whenever anyone "(1) causes the death of a human being with premeditation and with intent to effect the death of the person or of another;" Premeditation can be established in a matter of seconds. If I have 10 seconds to decide to do something to kill someone that is premeditation, so when George Floyd is on the ground as long as he was and Chauvin kept his neck there as long as he did with him being unresponsive for the last two minutes, I find it hard to believe that there was no premeditation on the part of Derek Chauvin.

Tou Thao has not been charged at all, but the prosecutors say that he will probably be charged soon.

UPDATE: Following his arrest, Chauvin has been moved to Oak Park Heights State Prison. We have also learned that the house at 7517 17th St. is owned by his wife and that she announced her plans to get a divorce. People have also been protesting at his Florida vacation home.

UPDATE: Charge has been increased to second degree murder.

The murder trial of Derek Chauvin began today. The best argument put forth by the defense seems to be that George Floyd had drugs in his system. They claim he would not have died otherwise. That is a weak argument in my opinion. The video clearly shows a man getting choked to death.

His wife is divorcing him and public records say she owns the house 17th street. She has stated publicly that she will soon be the new ex-Mrs. Chauvin. Good choice. The Florida address is his vacation home. People have been protesting there.

Even the mayor of Minneapolis is publicly calling for the county attorney to charge Derek Chauvin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz575YtRnpA so why is he free? The President of the United States has ordered the DOJ and the FBI to "expedite" their investigation, so why is he free?

If they want to stop the riots they just need to arrest Derek Chauvin. The National Guard is not necessary
