Speedway Police Officer Brandon Thompson was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) early this morning near Lawndale Avenue north of Rockville Road in Indianapolis. The Speedway Police Department (SPD) quickly suspended Thompson without pay. Thompson was a probationary officer that had only been with the department since February. We doubt that he will ever become a real officer due to this incident.
