Brewster Police officer Fernando Quinones was indicted last week for falsely arresting a man last year. In the video below, you can see Quinones accost Alexander King in the parking lot outside the Brewster Police station where he'd gone to file a complaint against him. Quinones was accused of harassing King after writing him a traffic citation earlier this year. City leaders originally defended Quinones and blamed King for responding aggressively to being ticketed.

King was charged with assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. The charges were later dropped. Quinones is now charged with falsifying business records, offering a false instrument and making a false statement plus official misconduct. Quinones faces up to 4 years in prison if convicted. He was already on disability related to an alleged injury unrelated to King.
