NYPD Officer Vincent D'Andraia has been suspended for violently shoving Dounya Zayer onto the pavement during a protest in New York City. The "shove" might as well have been a violent throw given how hard she hit the pavement. Watch the video below this article to see this for yourself. He earned every bit of this suspension, but that is not good enough. He should be fired and criminally charged with assault.
The victim held a press conference after being treated for her injuries. At that press conference she said "Officers who have taken a sworn oath to protect the people, And to uphold the constitution...Are breaking the law, and severely beating, Masing, running over with their car, trampling with a horse...They are beating kids. They beating peaceful protesters." (https://twitter.com/zayer_dounya/status/1268692571846565897)
