Former Bridgeport Police Officer Geoffrey Gile Booth was arrested for possession of child pornography on Thursday. According to police his wife snitched him out some time back for possessing "inappropriate" images after they responded to a report of a domestic dispute. He was booked on just $5,000 bail and released within hours. Not much else is known about the case at this time.
According to public records, Booth is a 48 year old resident of Guntersville last known to reside at 2000 Crawford Street. We normally do not make home addresses of cops publicly available, but we make an exception when officers are charged with sex crimes involving minors. We ask that you use this information only to protect children by keeping them away from his house. Please do not commit any crimes against him.
Also, according to public records, Booth has a long rap sheet of traffic citations. In addition, he appears to have been charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia in 2006 (Pinal County case number 53390288). The disposition of that case is not know, but given his many years as a cop following that charge we do not believe that he was convicted.
