Former Atlanta Police Department officer Mark Gardner was fired after attacking a pair of college students for filming him and fellow officers arrest a protester following a peaceful demonstration against the murder of George Floyd. The officers chased down the vehicle after it drove by them slowly while filming and could not get away due to traffic congestion. When the driver rolled up his window, they smashed it and tased him repeatedly. At times the tasing lasted several seconds. It is well known that prolonged tasing such as that is life threatening.

The passenger was a young black woman that did nothing wrong. The officers opened the passenger door and attacked her as well.

UPDATE: Mark Gardner has been charged with aggravated assault. The victims were Messiah Young and Taniyah Pilgrim. We will add profiles of the others shortly. Check the https://copblaster.com/hashtag/mark-gardner/ tag archive for all profiles.

Due to time going by and a decline in public interest in this case, we have removed the home address from this post. It was posted because at the time we believed it might be useful for peaceful protest organizers, but we don't see people really protesting this specific officer anymore and when we did we are not aware of the organizers actually using this information.

The address listing was only intended to be temporary for the duration of peaceful anti-police brutality protests, and although such protests continue we have determined that some addresses including this one are far less useful at this time.

Mark Gardner is now suing the Mayor and Police Chief arguing that his use of force was lawful.
