Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has suspended the seven Rochester Police Officers that killed Daniel Prude. Their names are Sgt. Michael Magri, Officer Josiah Harris, Officer Paul Ricotta, Officer Francisco Santiago, Officer Andrew Specksgoor, Officer Troy Taladay, and Officer Mark Vaughn. Daniel Prude was killed on March 23, 2020 after police responded to a 911 call made by a relative concerned that he was having a mental breakdown, Prude was in the street naked when they arrived, complied with their orders, but they put a spit bag over his head at that point he started losing it and a pig pile followed. Officers Santiago, Vaughn, and Taladay held Prude down for several minutes while paramedics arrived. After paramedic arrived the officers can be seen putting their weight on Prude's head while one of them has his knee on his back. When paramedic approach one of the officers can be heard saying that Prude was puking "straight water," they asked him if he was alright but he remained still and silent until they noticed that something was wrong. They rolled him onto his side and noticed he was not breathing, casually began CPR, eventually put him in the ambulance, and he died after remaining in a vegetative state for a few days.
Officers Santiago, Taladay, and Vaughn appear to be the worst offenders in this case. They can be seen in the image above with Santiago on the left, Taladay in the middle, and Vaughn on the right. Public records contain the following information about these three officers:
